CLI Reference

The scribase CLI is the primary interface for both local development and the production control-plane management API. It has no library dependencies beyond the binary itself and curl for API calls.

Configuration

Terminal
export SCRIBASE_API_URL=https://api.scribase.com # or your own cluster's gateway
export SCRIBASE_ACCESS_TOKEN=<token> # see /docs/api/tokens
# Optional: override the curl binary
export SCRIBASE_CURL_BINARY=/usr/local/bin/curl

Or run scribase login once, which stores the URL and a token; the environment variables always win over the stored values.

Plain HTTP is only accepted for localhost, 127.0.0.1, and [::1]. The access token and request bodies are piped to curl through stdin configuration and never appear in process arguments or debug output.
